AAPAM 36th Conference

The African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) in partnership and close coordination with the Ministry of Public Service and the Modernization of Administration of the Kingdom of Morocco, and the  Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) are organizing the 36th Annual Conference of AAPAM, in Rabat, from 2 to 6 March, 2015, on the following theme: Effective Partnership  for Citizen Centred Sustainable Development. More than 300 participants representing 30 African States are expected to attend this important Conference which will be an excellent opportunity to assess what has been done so far by AAPAM and set up a Road map for the future.

South Africa: Minister Davies Welcomes BMW's R6bn Investment
Trade and Industry Minister, Dr Rob Davies, has welcomed BMW Group South Africa’s decision to invest R6 billion at its plant in Rosslyn, Pretoria. “This investment is testament to the important partnership that exists between business and government and the role that business is playing in the development of the economy. “We are excited at the prospect of the BWM Rosslyn plant as home to the next generation of BMW X3 vehicles. For us, this is a boost to our industrial policy objective of positioning South Africa as a manufacturing hub for high valued consumer products,” said Minister Davies.

South Africa: Ministerial Visit to Sweden a Success
The working visit to Sweden by International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane was a success, her department said on Monday. “The visit to Sweden was aimed at reaffirming bilateral relations between South Africa and Sweden and the importance of the Binational Commission as the structured mechanism to deepen cooperation between the two countries,” the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) said. While in Stockholm, Minister Nkoana-Mashabane held bilateral talks with her Swedish counterpart Margot Wallström.
