Press Release: UN Public Service Day Celebrated in Montenegro

This year the UN Public Service Day in Montenegro was celebrated in all the levels of public governance.  The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA), The Human Resources Authority of Montenegro (HRMA), the National Association of Municipalities of Montenegro in collaboration with Institute Alternativa from the civil society.  
 
ReSPA contributed to the UN Public Service Day by conducting three large activities. The activities included networking events on General Administrative Procedures (GAPA network), the networking event on Public Private Partnership (PPP) as well as the accredited training seminar on Leadership training on anticorruption institutions.

International Conference on Policy Making 2.0

The European Commission, FP7-funded support action CROSSOVER, together with UNDP-CIS, the Democratic Society and Euractiv, is organising the International Conference on Policy-Making 2.0 that will take place at the Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland on 17-18 June 2013. The conference will explore the emerging technologies and trends that are changing the way policy-making is made.

Monaco: Decree repealing the ordinance of June 19, 1920 which created a consultative chamber of commerce and creating an Economic and Social Council - No. 3136 - 1945, as amended at 2012
The institution, called Social and Economic Council was established in 1945 by a Government decree (Art. 2). The purpose of establishment of the institution was to have an advisory body on the matters that have an impact on the economic life of the country, including: social, financial, tourism, commercial and industrial issues, as well as land and urban management (Art. 2). Provisions and arrangements for consultative processes: Cabinet members have access to the meetings. They can be assisted by technical experts (Art. 6). The Council can create within it some sections which reflect the economic activities that are represented and that can have meetings between the plenary sessions (Art. 8). Plenary sessions are to be held every three months in March, June, September and December, under convocation of the Chairman. Extraordinary meetings are to be authorized by the Government. The agenda shall be sent to the Government, which may change it at least 8 days before the meetings start. (Art. 9). It will transmit directly to the Government advice, wishes or responses that will be made in the plenary session, only if the majority of members are present (Art. 10).
