CAFRAD Conference on "Enhancing the Capacity of Leaders of African Parliaments"

CAFRAD is organizing a Conference on “Enhancing the Capacity of Leaders of African Parliaments for more Astute Legislation” to assess the performance challenges of the legislature and to empower the parliamentarians for a higher competence in the discharge of their legislative duties for the development of Africa. New Dialogue About Security in Africa

The New Security Foundation, in partnership with the Government of Kenya, has launched a new initiative to involve business in a major dialogue about modern security and its implications for commerce, industry and investment in Africa. 'Usalama ni Harambee', the Africa Forum on Business and Security, will take place from 13-14 September, 2012, at the LAICO Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

The African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) is organizing the 8th Pan-African Forum on the Modernization of Public Service and State Institutions in Saïdia, Morocco from 25-26 June 2012. The meeting will be chaired by the Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Reforms of the Kingdom of Morocco and will be held in Saïdia, Morocco on 27 June 2012.

Mauritius: Mauritius and Zambia sign Agreement under the Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation
GIS - 28 March, 2013: The Government of Mauritius and the Republic of Zambia signed an agreement this morning in Port Louis with regard to the agreed areas of cooperation between the two countries during the 2nd session of the Zambia-Mauritius Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation held this week in Mauritius. The signatories were the Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr Xavier-Luc Duval and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Zambia, Dr Effron C. Lungu. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Dr Arvin Boolell was also present.

Mauritius: Chief Justice Launches the E-Judiciary System
The e-Judiciary system is yet another innovation and is a milestone in the modernisation of our justice system said the Attorney General, Mr Y. Varma, at the launching of the e-judiciary system yesterday at the Supreme Court in Port Louis. This system provides for an electronic platform for the lodging of cases and case management and will accelerate the readiness of a case and an Attorney will be in a better position to lodge a case wherever he is, even if he is abroad underlined Mr Varma.
