The main objective of the forum is to bring together the heads of departments and institutions of audit, control, inspection and evaluation of various African countries in order to discuss new challenges in achieving their missions and appropriate strategies to be considered to succeed in their duties and also improve their performance.

The specific objectives are as follows:

• Exchange knowledge, experiences and practices in the area of audit, evaluation and control of state institutions, and social and economic policies;
• Examine challenges and obstacles to the effective accomplishment of their missions;
• Examine trends, innovations and new approaches in these areas;
• Strengthen the capacity and skills of participants in order to better cope with the challenges of their responsibilities;
• Formulate innovative and participatory strategies and approaches aiming at strengthening the action of audit, control and inspection institutions;
• Reinforce partnership and collaboration between these various services and institutions for a better performance.
