The Centre for Early Childhood Development (CECD) is a national resource providing training, support and advice in the field of early childhood development. The focus of our work is on improving the education and care of children from disadvantaged communities.
The CECD is hosting a two-day conference on Funding the Future for Early Childhood Development from 16-17 April 2013 in Cape Town.
This conference takes into account the rapidly changing funding and resource mobilisation environment in South Africa and internationally and offers a dynamic mix of presentations, case studies, discussion sessions and participatory workshops.
Some of the reasons why it is worthwhile to attend this conference:
• To enhance your fundraising strategy and practice;
• To learn more about innovative ways to fundraise for your organisation’s ECD programmes;
• To meet with stakeholders from the NPO and corporate sectors.
In this comprehensive conference you will learn how to develop a strategic fundraising plan for your organisation and acquire a good understanding of a wide variety of fundraising techniques. Delegates will learn the requirements for running successful fundraising programmes and building an ECD endowment. They will also hear about how using the internet can have a positive effect on your fundraising results and you will have opportunities to discuss methods of generating income with experts in the field. Most importantly, they will learn how to integrate these elements into a pragmatic fundraising strategy that is specific to your own organisation.
