Russian Federation Russian Data Centre to Grow in Size by 37% This Year
The size of Russian commercial data centres is expected to grow by 36.5 percent by the end of the year, reports Cnews.ru, citing a study from iKS-Consulting. The data centre market will reach RUB 11.9 billion, up from 9.3 billion in 2013. The total size of Russian data centres will go to 86,000 square metres by the end of the year, with the number of racks growing by 28 percent to 25,500 units. Russia currently holds 0.2 percent of the global data centre market.

The majority of Germans are unaware of emerging digital service technologies, according to a survey conducted by EMNIDbusse. Technologies such as Bitcoin (66%), Bluetooth Low Energy (70%) or NFC (near field communication) (86%) are widely unknown. M-payment is more common but is only used by 3 percent of the interviewees.
