Brazil Brazil May Reach 23 mln M2M Connections in 2016
Brazil's communications ministry (Mincom) forecasts that machine-to-machine (M2M) connections in the country will reach 23 million in 2016 compared with current 8 million.The ministry said that the growth will be mainly driven by tax breaks for the M2M communications sector that entered into force in May. The government cut the installation inspection fee TFI by 80 percent to boost the M2M market.

Mexico has reached 65,149 public sites providing free broadband access by the end of 2014.The national connectivity program Mexico Conectado (Connected Mexico) stipulates a total of 250,000 sites nationwide providing free broadband access by 2018.
