Director's Message

Welcome to the e-Library of the Division for Public Administration and Development Management (DPADM) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA). This portable e-Library contains all the latest DPADM publications in "flip book" format. The e-Library also includes an extensive archive of DPADM's past publications and links to its websites and online training courses. Whether a developing or developed country, we often find that there is much to learn from each other, especially in connecting lessons learned with practices. This e-Library embraces the notion of sharing and ease of access to the latest developments of public policies, governance focusing particularly on institutional and human resources development in government with a special attention to countries in post-conflict and post-disaster situations, e-government and e-governance development, citizens' engagement, transparency and accountability in managing internationally agreed development agenda, including the MDGs to facilitate innovation, improvement of public service delivery and against corruption.
