Knowledge Management in Government, Institution and HR Management |
| Description: |
The Swaziland Institute of Management and Public Administration (SIMPA) was established in 1965, three years prior to independence in 1968. Currently the Institute is expected to contribute to the raising of performance standards, productivity, effeciency and effectiveness of primarily the whole public service; carry out research on performance of the service; initiate and conduct training programmes to correct deficiencies; provide a forum for debate on public service and stand ready to advise government on how to improve overall performance. Since then, the clientele of the Institute encompassed all levels of staff ranging from new entrants to the service up to executive personnel. The sectors that could be trained also enlarged from the public sector to cover parastatals, the private as well as the Non-Governmental sectors of the country. |
