The online gateway to governance-related information in Africa.
The AGI was originally developed in 1999 by the Division for Public Administration and
Development Management (DPADM) of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the
United Nations (UNDESA), with financial support from the United Nations Development
Programme (UNDP) and the Government of Italy. Following the recommendations of AGI
Focal Points, UNDESA has made the AGI available on the Internet to facilitate
information-sharing on governance in Africa through the World Wide Web.
