31 July 2015 Deadline for Written Submissions for the WSIS+10 Overall Review Outcome Document |

We would like to remind all stakeholders that the deadline for written submissions for the "non-paper" on the desired structure and content of the UN General Assembly's WSIS+10 overall review outcome document is 31 July. In that regard, Co-facilitators, Ambassador Jānis Mažeiks, Permanent Representative of Latvia, and Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates, reached out to all permanent Member and Observer States to encourage submissions before the deadline. Guiding questions and a description of the submission process are available by following this link. We strongly encourage all stakeholders to contribute.
Following the release of the non-paper, all stakeholders will again be invited to submit comments electronically through the second week of September. |

Culture Key to Global Sustainable Development - High-level Panel Discussion and Luncheon |

How can global cultural partnerships better support peace, harmony, social cohesion, as well as cooperative initiatives in support of local, national, regional and global sustainability? The China Energy Fund Committee (CEFC), an ECOSOC-accredited NGO, and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA), will be co-organizing a High-level Panel Discussion and Luncheon at the United Nations, focusing on culture as an enabler of sustainable development.
The High-level Panel Discussion and Luncheon will be held from 1:15 to 2:30 pm, Tuesday, 21 April 2015, in the Delegates Dining Room, United Nations Headquarters New York.
